hile staying at Cottage In The Lane you have access to all our amenities.  Have a swim in our large heated swimming pool.  Open from mid-June to mid-Sept.  It is centrally located on our grounds for your convenience.  The pool has a large deck area and plenty of sun for you to enjoy relaxing on our lounge chairs.  You have a great view of our large lawn and the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge from the pool area.  Sit back and enjoy!  Our pool is clean and well maintained for your safety. 

      There is plenty of room on our large lawn for picnics, games and fun.  Picnic tables and barbecue grills are available for that family outdoor meal.  Have fun and feel confident that your children are in a safe area, away from the highway, and on our grounds.  To keep the children entertained we have a unique, wooden gym/swing set.

We offer an on-site laundry room with coin operated washers and dryers.  Clothes lines are available to hang swimsuits and beach towels.

    You are not far from the beach at Cottage in The Lane.  It is less than one mile to Drakes Island Beach.  Wells, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport are all close by, but Drakes Island is our favorite - uncrowded, nothing commercial, just sand and surf.  There are lifeguards on duty during the summer day hours and there are restrooms facilities available in the parking lot area.

    So, there you have it.  Great accommodations, quiet and privacy, close to the beach, and close to all of the attractions on Route 1, without having to lodge in the traffic mainstream.  Your kind of vacation?   We are off the "beaten path," and waiting to provide you with a vacation that is both fun and relaxing.
